Top High School Athletes Set to Compete at NYRR Millrose Games TrialsPublished by
The NYRR Millrose Games Trials will take place tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 10) at The Armory’s New Balance Track & Field Center. High school and youth participants will compete to earn qualifying berths for the February 3rd 111th NYRR Millrose Games. Many of the country’s premier high school relay teams will be competing in this year’s NYRR Millrose Games Trials. For the list of track & field events please click HERE. WHO: Some of the expected entrants include: Top female student-athletes: Katelyn Tuohy – North Rockland, NY: Nike Cross Country National Champion. US#1, US#2 all-time 3000 meters Marlee Starliper – Northern HS, PA: Foot Locker Cross Country Northeast Regional Champion Cheyenne Figueroa – Classical, RI: US#10 Weight Throw Top male student-athletes: Mason Gatewood – St Anthony’s, NY: NY Federation Cross Country Champion Jacob Furland – Classical, RI: US#3 Weight Throw Chris Romero – Voorhees, NJ: US#10 1000 meters Top 4x200 and 4x400 teams: East Orange Campus (NJ) Newburgh Free Academy (NY) Union Catholic (NJ) Paul Robeson (NY) Top 4x800 relay teams: North Rockland (NY) Union Catholic (NJ) Saratoga Springs (NY) Pennsburry (PA) St. Benedict's Prep (NJ) Northport (NY) Shenendehowa Central (NY)
WHEN: The NYRR Millrose Games Trials begin at 3 p.m. through 9 p.m. with 27 events for youth and high school student-athletes to qualify for the famed 111th NYRR Millrose Games on Saturday, February 3 at The Armory. The NYRR Millrose Games Trials can be seen on Runner Space + Plus. WHERE: 216 Fort Washington Avenue/168th Street in Manhattan, phone (212) 923-1803. ADMISSION: Adults $12, students $5, children under 3 feet 6 inches free.
